Course Description:
This course incorporates Best Practice tools and human resources skills needed to run projects effectively - Planning, Controlling, and Reporting, Leadership, Communications, Motivation ,Team Building as well as Budget.

Valuable for project supervisors, project managers and project team members and those who need to set up and manage complex projects or who are involved in large-scale project work, and are looking for a best practice methodology to develop people and technical skills to become effective project managers.
Topical Outlines:

Principles - continued business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities, manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products and tailor to suit the needs of the project environment
Processes - starting up a project, initiating a project, directing a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing stage boundaries, closing a project and planning
Cases - business case, organisation, progress, quality, risk and plans

The programme methodology draws from hundreds of real life experiences of change management programmes. It encompasses many years of best practice of change management programmes and provides a structured but flexible approach suited for all kinds of project management
Mode of Assessment
Continuous assessments (regular lectures /cases and mock tests) with an issuance of an academic Certificate on Completion
Duration:
Intensive (Executive) Weekend programme or 3 day spread

Prerequisites:
Supervisory, Management experience, Project Management experience or Project Board experience is required. Some pre-course material is provided which should be fully read and understood before the course start. This is an intensive course and some evening extra study work will be required during the course.
